  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Searched all over with no luck finding any answer on this.

My wife just bought a new Mazda CX-5. Headlights are fantastic. Got back in my 2015 and now I've got something new to complain about. (I have noticed this before)

Low beams are ok but the high beams are way too high and both pointed virtually dead center. It's pretty much a vertical beam in the center of the lane. They're great if you want to spot owls in trees hanging over the road but I'd rather see deer that are planning to attack me. (A couple have)

Is it possible to adjust the high beams outward? Looking at the service manual, there's a solenoid operated shield that covers half the beam for the lows and it moves farther up out of the way for the highs. I guess maybe you can adjust the solenoid down a bit but how do you adjust them L/R? Do both hi/lo beams get horizontally adjusted simultaneously? I see a small marking on the plastic cowling above the headlight showing left/right but there's no opening below it to slip any kind of tool in there.

Anyone here tackled this?
