You learn something new every day, that you should have already known. This post sent me to examine my cars, Jag and Genny. Surprise surprise - I'd always assumed that the rear cameras were somewhere low at the bottom of the bumper, not up above the license plate.

Rear seat folded down, rubber trunk cover installed, 8 foot tree goes cut end first, tree wrapped in mesh, and about 18 inches extends beyond the bumper. I declined the offer to tie down trunk as distance to home was less than two miles, no turns until my drive. Easy peasy. Outdoor temperature was 50 something Fº.
