  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rather than have the 'home link' open a garage door, I would like to buy a couple of receivers so that I can turn on some lights in the house. Anyone any idea where one might obtain these receivers ??

I have buttons 2 and 3 of the Home Link programmed to turn on/off my garage and outside house lights. I use x-10. You will need to purchase a transmitter, receiver and replace the switch for the lights in question with an x-10 switch. You should have your Home Link "learn" the RF command from the transmitter, so you do not need to have a separate transmitter in the car. Check out this site for all the details: smarthome.com

It is really a pretty simple setup. The most challenging part is changing the switch in your house. I believe the whole setup is less than $100.

Thanks...looks like what I was looking for...;)
