  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've looked in my manual and a downloaded manual and tried every button in the car I could think of, but I can't find any way to delete songs I've placed on the jukebox. Does anybody know how? Thanks in advance!

I don't have the ability to write it all out (time constraint), but it can be done. I erased some songs that were on my CPO purchase.
Maybe search the forums here as I believe I have seen it covered.

I did a search for "delete music" before posting and didn't see anything relevant.

They probably delete (one by one) while the tune is playing.

Hi Kyser, I found the following to add music:

If you watch to the part where he accesses the uploaded music files (around the 3:25 mark), I would think each folder/song could be selected and you should get a window asking if you want to delete. Seems straightforward, but can't vouch yet; will try it this evening on mine.

My question is what buttons do I push to bring up the option to delete either songs or folders. I bought my car used and I may be missing the separate manual. I d/l the 2015 manual and it doesn't mention how to delete files.

Hold your finger down on the file or folder (long-press) and that should ask you what to do next (Delete? Yes/No). If you have the Jog Dial, you should be able to step through the files and click (press) which should give the same result.

After watching the video, I took my cell phone out to my car to video the button presses I get when I press menu (no delete option shows up!) but while I was navigating between folder and songs my phone rang and I took the call through my car. After I hung up and pressed the menu button, the very first thing that came up was the folder view and "Delete All" was an option. So I was able to delete all but I was no longer taking a video. I guess next time I need to delete songs, I'll have someone call me! Thanks to everyone.

I tried a long press and nothing happened. Maybe not long enough? The long press seemed like a logical way to bring up an option menu.

Yes, odd but sounds as though you're doing it correctly. I will check mine when I get home later and advise if I find out anything notable, as I can't see it being any more complicated than that.

Hi Kyser, I figured it out. Uploaded some music from a drive and, like you, couldn't get it to delete with a long-press or anything. Then finally, almost by accident, while a song is selected I hit the 'Menu' button, which then brings up a side menu that asks to Delete, Delete All, Etc. Upon hitting Delete, it lists your songs with checkboxes on the right to select and pick. Then hit Delete and bye-bye birdie lol. Wow, you'd think they'd tell you that somewhere. o_O Anyway, give it a shot.

Starting with the suggestions found in the forum, I played with it until I worked out the following method to delete individual songs from the Jukebox.

It won’t let you delete a song that is playing, so pause before beginning

Select Jukebox
Select List
Select Songs
Select Menu
Select Delete

There will be a list of the songs with a box to the right of each song. Press the box for each song you want to delete - a check mark appears in the selected box

Then press Delete from the menu

I would have been great if Hyundai had put this in the Genesis manual!!

Yes

I figured it out. Go to jukebox, then hit menu, select sound options and then clear jukebox
