  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have searched through the manuals and cannot find an answer for this: how do I delete preset radio stations I no longer listen to? In some cases I accidentally preset the same station two or three times. Also, is it possible to change the order of preset radio stations on my Technology Package Lexicon audio system?

Isn't there a "reset to factory" menu choice?

check pages 48 to 52 of the DiS manual if you have the tech pkg.

Well, I tried both of the above suggestions and am still stuck with a bunch of unwanted preset radio stations. When I hit "reset to factory settings" the equalizer settings reset but my preset radio stations remain, and I have read through pages 48-52 in the DIS manual and I see nothing about deleting preset radio stations. Surely there must be a way to do this?

My 2009 Tech doesn't have any way to "blank" the presets... those that I've never set still have default values. The AM presets for example are 530 (lowest end of the AM band frequency range) for the presets I've never defined. There is no way to say "no frequency in this preset - do not use this preset" to my knowledge. Thus when I use the steering wheel preset UP/DOWN select buttons I do have to step through half a dozen 530 presets once I pass the ones I defined. The system isn't smart enough to know "presets 11 thorugh 16 haven't been defined so don't access them."

So all you can do is set the first presets to whatever stations/frequencies you want and set the rest to some empty frequency.

You have another option. Just repeat the station sequence you loaded with the unused presets and voila...you can use the steering wheel button to move through your list. This works best if the number of presets is divisible by the number of stations you've defined, e.g. twelve presets/six stations. But even if that's not the case, just repeat your favorite stations with unused presets and you won't have to deal with skipping over undefined presets.

As with virtually ALL radios in ALL cars, there really is no way to assign a buttonto "nothing'. When you first purchase they are almost always set to the lowest number on the dial. Just reassign it. If you do a full reset you will lose all of your other settings.

I can't believe there's no way to delete presets. That's silly.

I have never seen a radio where presets can be erased or eliminated. They can be programmed over but not erased. I do agree that it would be nice if you only wanted ten presets to get rid of the others so you list could loop around easier but I have never seen a radio that has that feature.
