Problem is I live in TX. I guess he forced it in there even though it wasn’t supported. It works but it’s not supported. I might still give him a call just to ask him about it.
How does it work for you? Does the sensor on the back of the handles and the button on the door still work to lock and unlock while it’s remote started? Also, does secure takeover work properly? And when you get in, is the radio screen off until you execute the secure takeover?
Kind of like I guess forcing Windows 11 on an unsupported system from like 2014. It could even work well, but it’s not officially supported and you’ve got to use some workarounds to get it to install.
So, the installer stated that he had to call Compustar and asked about the install and they had to tell him to purchase an after-market part (harness??) in order to make this happen. Mind you, it took him 8 + hours after the install to figure out some isssues - like the proximity sensor not turning on when I approached the car, but it it works works fine when I walk away from the car. None of the Compustar support staff can figure it out, and he called Compustar multiple of times during that install. I had to come back a second day for him to finish the troubleshooting. Eventually, a Compustar staff advised him to re-flash the system and that finally did the trick. A lot of hit and muss with this G90 install because I don't believe Compustar had their remote starter system ever installed in a G90; mine might be the first in the country!
Everything in the car still works especially when you turn on the "valet mode". I even added a second T13 FOB to my set-up. Truthfully, I can't seem to remember (or notice) the radio screen being off until i initiate the secure takeover. However, I do have a security dash camera installed (front and rear) and that system does not turn on until after I initiate a seccessfuly secure takeover sequence. I suspect that is the same with the radio screen. Moreover, I initially I perfromed the secure takeover by pressing both the brakes and the PTS button at the same time....that works! However, after I shutdown the car, when I do a normal PTS start, I've been getting an immobilizer error - not allowing me to drive the car in this manner. I had to 'reset' the car, by opening and closing the door (works in my old BMW), do another remote start, turn it off, and immediately do a normal PTS start...this sequence seems to reset the car and I can then again do a normal PTS start. This reseting step that I did (discovered really) was purely accidental.

So, in the event of an immobilizer error after you shutdown the car from a remore start, the only way I can drive the car again is by doing another remote start, do my step on the brake pedal and hit the PTS button together. I have to do this until I can reset the car....aggravating.
So because of this, I started playing with the remote start secure takeover sequence based on what the internet was saying: just step on the brake once - that did not work for me and the engine just shuts off. Next, I accidentally pushed the PTS button once, and that actually works; the secure takeover engaged and i was able to drive the car. Following the remote start sequence when I shut off the engine, I was able to normally start the car using the normal PTS start....but for this particular secure takeover step to work, you have to perfrom it within 10-30 seconds after you've unlocked and opened the door(s), else when you push on that PTS button for the secure takeover to initiate, the engine merely shuts down.
Some issues: when I turn on the Valet Mode (when the engine is on), somehow (later after a re-start), it just automatically turns itself off - the Valet mode. I have not figured out the reason for this yet.
In the end, if you're interested in installing the T13 system in your G90, I recommend you give Erick at Exotic Sounds a call first and directly asked him what he did while it's still fresh in his mind.
