  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi. I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 and need to replace the interior door handle. To access the handle I need to remove the interior door panel. It appears that the bottom on the panel just pulls out from the clips but can't remove the rest. Does anyone know of a YouTube video or manual that shows me where the screws are that need to be removed. Note: I love my car !!!!
Thanks,
Mike Halliday

One screw is hidden in the trim piece surrounding the interior door release - look for a round plastic cover that snaps in place and hides the screw. Then look for a screw at the very front of the panel, near where the upper hinge is; this might be covered by a flap of interior fabric. Another, and probably beefy, screw is in the hole in the armrest - the part you grab when pulling the door closed. The bottom of that D-shaped hole is plastic cover that snaps in place, pop it free to see the screw. That's what the factory service manual shows...

I haven't dug into the door on my car (yet). The factory service manual for 2009s says you need to first remove the U-shaped trim piece that frames the window. Look for a screw near the very front of that piece. I would also pry off the triangular cover where the mirror attaches just to get it out of the way; it just snaps in place.
