  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone know how the suspension works. It's supposed to be adaptive and takes into account the road surface, and can be changed for the different modes. How does it do this?
For the UK the web page states,
Electronically-Controlled Air Suspension (ECS) also controls damping force based on live road conditions and your chosen variable drive mode.

It's quite a nice site and worth a look.

Air suspension is not available in the US. The 5.0 ultimate does have electronically dampened suspension and it works by changing the dampening of the shock absorbers

Yes. You get into your car, drive it to your destination, and get out of the car. If you have not injured your back during the trip, the suspension worked.

What does the 3.8L have? Rusty pram springs:):):)

Why do we get the air type in the UK I'm wondering?

The USA version of the Genesis Sedan has never had all the options that are available in the Korean Version. This has to do with competitive pricing issues in the USA. The top of the line USA version has always been less expensive than the top Korean version with every single option.

The Equus has had an air suspension in the USA, and probably Hyundai Motor America thinks that if you want an air suspension, you can get an Equus.

Probably, the UK versions are the same as the Korean versions, since the market is not that big for the Genesis in the UK yet, and they probably can't justify building a separate version like they can in the USA.

That was only on the 2015 5.0 Ultimate however. The 2016 5.0 dropped it.
