  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

you guys are killing me. in CAD, the 6MT trim cannot be had with vented front seats. they are standard in the US trim 6MT. vented seats were one of my must-haves that i was looking for. first world problems, but it drives me nuts that i wasn't able to add this on as an option - for which i gladly would have paid extra. alas, no dice!

i'm hoping there is some way to retrofit the factory fan/electronics. i have the quilted/perforated Nappa seating, the same as the 3.3T Sport. eventually i'll look into it further. if there was a way to get the OEM bits and switch gear i'd be all over this if the cost was not ridiculous.

You never know. Might be very little retrofitting.
For example, the other 2.0T models can take take the Brembos no problem. Just replace the rotors as well. Only thing that actually needs to be swapped out is the dust shield which is smaller.

Out of the similar cars I have test-driven already, the ventilated seats work way better than those in an A4/A5 and a little less effective than those in a Jaguar XE. Overall, I thought the ventilation function worked quite well in the G70, though it is a little delayed.

I'll chime in. I love the cooled seats, but because they're basically just fans that pull air from beneath, they work way better if you pump the cool from the foot vents to cool the lower part of the car.

I found the key is to make sure the rear vents are set to cold, as well as the air circulation is set to both the normal vents and feet, the seat will turn cold pretty quick within few minutes.
If the rear vents are set to warm the seat fans will only circulate warm air...

I can also attest to the seat ventilation being almost instant and very cold. I am in VA where it gets over 100° F (110+ with humidity) as well...so I have put them to the test.
I would agree with this. A few days ago when it was hot, I put the cooling seat feature on and after a while, my rear end go so cold I had to turn them off. IF they don't get a direct input from the AC, they certainly get the cool are under the seats blown upwords. Good enough for me. I've had my G80 for nearly 18 months now and this was the first time I've turned the feature on. If you want to keep your ice cream cold on the way back from the store, it won't do that. However, if you just want to cool off your hot rear end, it's the ticket.

sounds good to me, I am a hairy boy in AZ, gotta keep cool

I test drove a G70 today in 90 degree south Florida. Damn they are quite powerful. I had them on max for a few minutes and I had to turn them down to the min.

In comparison, I drove a Mustang with ventilated seats with the power on full blast this week and they were probably the equivalent of the lowest setting on the G70.

Im
New to the forum myself. Also in Vegas!!! Seen someone a few times cruising around lol Vented seats are amazing. I will never purchase another vehicle that doesn’t have this option

The only thing worse than Ford's ventilated seats are Chevy's. I swear the Chevy makes me hotter.

Lexus' were always great. I feel the G70 is on par with my Mom's old Lexus GS and newer IS.

I think it works well. It is so useful after parking the car outside for the whole day under 100F. It definitely cools down the seat within a min so you can sit comfortably on it.

Are these for elite and above trims? Test drive next week this is one of of my few must haves with heated seats. Want to be sure to drive one with it.
