  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How long can you hold the car at 100% charge?

I know not recommended to have long periods below 20% and above 80%, but how long is long? I have a road trip coming up and want to use my cheap overnight electricity rates to get to 100%, but only planning on leaving around noon, so the car might be sitting at 100% for 5-6 hours. Is that significant? Should I be concerned?

If you are worried about it, I set my car to charge to 90% and then either as soon as I get up (for an early departure) or about 90 minutes before departure, I change it to 100%. 10% is only about 7.5 KWH. Even if there is a $.30/KWH price difference, that's only about $2.25.

Its impossible to charge our cars to 100%. The car deliberately lies to you. 100% dash indicated is 95% if you read the actual BMS data. So as already mentioned, don't worry about it.
