  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So im at home dept parking in the middle area...

Watching this fat ass and his fat wife pull up in a f250... hes actually 5 spots down from the handicap spaces...

This fat pig took up 4 without a concern in the world.... we happened to leave at the same time... him and his wife had seperate carts one smalish item on each, they unloaded and push their carts into a seperate slot each.

Shame people cant get ticketed for this carless behavior. Makes me with i had a junker to pul up 1" away from his drivers side door

They own the place, don't you know that?

I need to re-up my stack of these babies:

Hah, I hate that crap. I don't care if you wanna park all crooked at the END of the aisle to "protect" your car, but don't bogart 4 spaces at the front of the lot where normal considerate people will be;)

I'll admit I tend to park further down where spaces are more empty, but not in multiple spaces and not all the way at the end. Door dings are the worst, just because people are too damn lazy to open their doors properly:rolleyes:

I park at the end of parking lots. In one space.

I hate door dings too.

Don't forget the hideous body he has to live with, not to mention the thing he calls his wife whom he has to sleep with. Separate shopping carts?? I'll bet separate beds as well. Do you think that now he deserves a break? NOT

I seek semi-remote parking places. Preferrably with a planted area on one side. Not too remote, as I don't want to stand out. And never more than one space.

I think folks who cross park anywhere are inviting trouble.

I've never seen a parking job like OP posted. Disturbing.

He must've been at quite an angle to take up four spaces. I hate that stuff, though. It also drives me nuts when I park far away from everyone else but someone still parks very close to me, even though there are a million other spots.

(I guess he was carless because he was driving a truck. :))

end of the lot, or front corners - and always always always hug the curb. The reverse tilt mirrors help tremendously with this :)

Most trucks these days are extended cab or even quad cab. They don't fit in a regular parking space. Lots of times the driver will try to park in a single space and leave 3 ft. sticking out in the traffic lane where other people are trying to walk to and from the store and others are trying to drive to find a parking spot.

Did you ever notice the folks that cruise the parking lot looking/waiting on the closest possible spot to the front doors? Usually, when they get out it looks like they should be parking farther away and walking for the exercise.

We always park farther away. May not be the end of the line but we try to part where there are multiple empty parking spots on either side of our cars (which is usually out near the end of the line).

Did you ever notice how often you park out away from the store with no one around and when you come back someone has parked right next to you?

So far, the only damage to the coupe in a parking lot is two very distinct paint chips up high on the front left fender about half way between the wheel well and the hood. Looks like someone jabbed it with something and knocked two spots of paint off about the size of a rock chip about 1/4 inch apart.

I got through 10 years with my IROC before someone opened a malibu door into it and left silver paint on it (which buffed off at the next wash/wax job - that evening). The second or third year I had by 81 Z28 someone ran a shopping cart down the front fender for about a foot long scrape in the paint.

Sometimes I think if dueling was legal people would be both more polite/honest in their speech and more considerate in their actions.

There was a B move (prob 20 years old now) called "Impulse". Basically the town lost their ability to restrain themselves from acting on their emotions. A memorable mention was a car sped into a parking spot (while another was waitng for it)... the car waiting RAMMED the car that stole the spot. < Saying that we should take pride in knowing we can and do restrain ourselves from similar actions. I guess it's what seperates us from the animals.

As for the fat pigs in the huge dump trucks, there are many where I live, and I have to remind myself to let them be miserable or happy, it's not your problem.

Now, as for "parking like an idiot", I do, just like the graphic above (diagonal across two spaces :p), but always well away from the bulk of the other cars. I do like to walk that extra bit, and I don't want the fat pigs in their trucks to dent or scratch my car, and because of the long coupe door on a pretty wide car, I can be the problem, too. When you have a black car, you have to be vigilant about that stuff and it pays off. There's nothing at all wrong with taking up more spaces as long as you're not doing it close in where everyone else wants to park. Those empty areas of lots will still be empty no matter how many spots you take up. Sometimes I'll take four, if there's just no one around and I'm only going to be there a few minutes. I also like parallel parking where I can get a good bumper distance. Of course, in downtowns you rarely have these possibilities, but in the burbs, live a little.

There are more pressing matters in the world than this ;)
