What should I expect to pay for an 7 year/100,000 mile warranty that includes the head unit for my 3.8 Ultimate?
You can purchase one from any Hyundai dealer, regardless of where you purchased the car. You can search the forums to find dealers who will give you a quote on the phone. What should I expect to pay for an 7 year/100,000 mile warranty that includes the head unit for my 3.8 Ultimate?
It is clearly stated (via asterisks) on the Hyundai Warranty website. The audio/video/GPS infotainment system is warrantied for 36 months or 36K miles whichever comes first. Same for all Hyundai's (except maybe for Equus which has slightly different warranty on some items). Check the website.Jime, let me know what you find out about the head unit. There seems to be some squishy verbiage related to if this is or is not covered. I would want to see it in writing that the head unit is covered. Good luck.
It is not clear whether the radar stuff is, or is not, covered by the extended warranty. The extended warranty terms were very poorly written and it is confusing.Mark,
Does that mean the radar, etc. is totally separate from the head unit? Is it $1,000s to fix any of the safety technology (SCC, blind spot, etc.)? Wonder if it is a pretty rare issue.
Depends on what you mean by "fair." Others have negotiated several hundred dollars less so I would say it is not particularly good, although not the highest price ever paid.Hi. I was quoted ~$1680 for the Hyundai HPP Platinum VSC plan when I buy a new 2014 Genesis R-spec. I wasn't told if it's a $0 deductible or $100 deductible plan.
Is this a fair/good price?
