  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
I was wondering what products you guys use to clean the inside of the car. Specifically, the computer monitor, the dash above it (where the big speaker is) and the leather. I've got some products but they seem to leave crap behind them (white marks). I've got a V8 tech pkg black on black.

Thanks!

I use windex on the monitor screen.
armorall on the leather.

Sorry bro, that is not recommended. Windex has ammonia in it which is good for grease cutting but horrible for plastic. Armor all is too greasy and attracts dust. I will send you guys a pic of the stuff I use for the interior.

I use a computer monitor cleaning kit on the screen and the instrument cluster.

I use saddle soap on the leather.

1. Plexus, cleans and protects anything plastic, Nav screen, vents, gauge screen, etc. (kinda hard to find).
2. Invisible Glass - No ammonia, safe for tinted windows, no odor.
3. Quick Interior. Water based cleaner, safe for anything in the interior, including, plastic, rubber, vinyl, leather (not good for glass).
4. Natural shine/Supreme shine, both are the same, one is shinier than the other. Good for protection on all rubber, vinyl, hard plastics (not for clear plastics) surfaces.
5. Carpet and Upholstery cleaner - self explanatory.
6. Fabprotec - Repels water and dirt, use on clean floor mats.
7.Lexol - Leather cleaner (don't need this unless leather is super dirty).
8. Lexol Leather conditioner. Makes seats like butter, not greasy, keeps the seats from cracking .

Any questions...

Archway is a non ammonia based product that works pretty well on glass, especially if you have tinted windows, and is readily available. I use iKleer on the Nav Screen.

Windex has an automotive window cleaner now that isn't ammonia based. It's fine for tinted windows.

Plexus is great stuff.

I'm a Zaino guy through and through - interior and exterior. It's a bit more expensive, but arguably some of the best products on the market. Their leather conditioner is great.
