  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've used a Sandisk Cruzer (512 mb), Patriot Razzo (8 gig), and my new HP v165w (16 gig) and I never get the "silence" between tracks . . they play one into the other with barely any breathing room between tracks. And sometimes clip the first second of the track (another issue I found discussed but not explained elsewhere on this board). I used WMP 11 to rip all tracks directly from CD.

A minor problem, sure, but wondered if any tech-savy folks out there knew how I could get that silence back in there? A previous audio program I have used for ripping CD audio to a .wav file (not CD to mp3, unfortunately) provided a "remove silence at end of tracks" option .. . but WMP does appear to have this.

Thanks!

I don't have this problem. All I can say is change some settings on your computer (WMP11) to two secondes between tracks... or even 3 seconds. I know there should be an option for that... you might have to dig deep into the settings to find it.
