NO, Genesis has a bracket designed for the front plate. you dealer should have it and install it for you. Clip on and very tight.

The only Genesis bracket I've seen is mounted right in the center of the grill and is fugly at best. I installed the Sly bracket and while it obstructs the bottom of the grill somewhat, it looks better than the Genesis one. It's easy, and no drilling to mount it. Takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. Comes with 2 bolt and 4 bolt mount. The 2 bolt mount is solid on my GV80. It also, does not impair the front lower grill sensor. Only drawback for me - I can't clean all of the grill behind the bracket, but no one sees it but me.

My state does not require a front plate however my neighbor has the factory mount on their GV70 that mounts in the center of the grill like the factory mount for the GV80 (although I have read here it can be moved down a little) and uses it for a plate with their business logo on it.

First time I saw it I thought someone stuck it on there as a joke, no way a company so focused on style and the empty space design philosophy would let that fly.

If I had to have one it would definitely be the Sly Bracket or a similar unit that mounts in the same place.
I have seem one that mounts to the side and screws in to the tow hook socket but that (to me) looks as strange as the factory mount.
