  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I have a 2015 Genesis and noticed that the map is not updated.
Is there a way to update it through the SD card?

I live in Saudi Arabia.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The maps on my 2014 Equus are updated through a thumb drive. The update is prepared by an independent vendor and is labeled as a Hyundai product. This covers USA/North America only. A new USA update was released June 1 and I was an early adopter. It has the label "91U22"; and it is DEFECTIVE. It caused my radio/nav to completely crash (blank screen). Vendor currently has no "fix". Radio replaced under warranty, and am using original software included with radio. My advice to USA owners is to buy the software update from your dealer. I expect the bug will be fixed, but as of now beware.
Your Genesis is different than the USA model. Hardware may look the same, but nav. package is different. Your best choice is to return to your dealer and request/pay for a Saudi-oriented update, if available.

Whether you buy the update from a dealer or from Mnsoft directly, the update will be the same. Also, Mnsoft isn't just some unknown vendor, but is instead the source of original and updated data for Hyundai and Kia. Taken directly from their web site: MnSOFT is the official navigation system provider for Hyundai and Kia Motors.

I am waiting for the version 9 update for my 2013 Genesis sedan to arrive any minute now and am looking forward to installing it this afternoon. While the map updates will be welcome, the system updates are what I am most interested in.
