  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My car has the NAV package. I've had the car 8 months, but never had cause, until today, to try to make a phone call using the address book function (where GPS addresses and phone numbers are stored).

I never have any problem using the Bluetooth cellphone on the car (via the AVN display). it "magically" accesses all the phone numbers on my cell phone and allows me to call them.

Question - when I set up the car's GPS address book, it stored names, addresses and phone numbers, yet I cannot automatically dial any of those phone numbers. (Or if it can be done, I'm too dull to figure out how to do so).

In other words... use the phone numbers on my cell phone - no problem. Try to use the phone numbers from the GPS address book - big problem.

Can it be done? If not, why did I waste my time inputting phone numbrs into the GPS address book?

Thanks,
