  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I own a 2020 G70. Dec last year my G70 stalled while driving it. Long story short, It was towed to Genesis dealer and diagnosis was bad HPFP. $1400 to repair. I received official NHTSA/Genesis recall letter. I called Genesis to inquire about reimbursement. They had me send dealer invoice for repair, copy of registration to show I still own vehicle and credit card statement showing I paid the $1400. Still have not been reimbursed. Anyone else having a hard time getting reimbursement???

Did you send the items by certified mail? They might claim they never received them, I'd contact them again and let them know you did all that was req'd and why haven't you received resolution. Gotta stay vigilant in situations like this.

I called again and this time they used the excuse that they forgot to submit it. They said.it was submitted and would have to wait 4-6 weeks again. But they said a supervisor would call due to them not processing it the first time.

Supervisor called. Now they want me to bring it to a Genesis dealer again since my vin was affected by recall? They replaced the HPFP already?? I wonder if they replaced.it with defective one and want to verify part????

2 comments. I had a similiar issue when I had an MB. The MB dealer handled all the paperwork and wrote me a check. Perhaps, that is what is going to happen here. My other comment is really a question...why not covered under warranty

My guess is he bought t used and Genesis doesn’t transfer the powertrain warranty.

A recall should include reimbursement for the recalled part though, regardless of warranty.
