  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai is expected to bring production of two Genesis luxury models to the U.S. by the end of the decade, according to WardsAuto forecasting partner AutoForecast Solutions.

The next-generation Genesis G80 sedan, formerly known as the Hyundai Genesis sedan and an unnamed Genesis D-segment CUV will begin production in September and November 2019, respectively, at a new plant in the U.S. Montgomery, where Hyundai’s current Alabama plant is located, is a likely spot.

Hyundai has talked of expanding its existing 2-million-square-ft. (185,806-sq.-m) vehicle-assembly plant or putting a second facility on the 1,744-acre (706-ha) site.

Makes sense as the largest market for the next gen G80 and the companion crossover model will be the US/NA.

There really isn't a cost advantage in building in Korea these days and w/ uncertainty in currency fluctuation and the yearly strikes/work stoppages - would bring more certainty when it comes to production and cost of the G80 and the companion CUV.

Lexus builds its 2 most popular models (ES and RX) in NA and Honda has been bringing over production of Acura models.
