  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Did you change your suspension or coilovers within the first year that you purchase your vehicle?

Hi everyone, this is my first post as a genesisowner member.

I bought a 2009 Hyundai Genesis sedan 3.8L yesterday after doing a pre-buying inspection by a Hyundai dealership. There were no issue with the suspension or any bushings. In the city I have no issue with my suspension but on the highway or specially when I am on a bridge I found that the car is sometimes bouncy. I have a budget between 600-1300 CAD (460 between 460 and 1000 USD). I am looking to change either the coilovers or the suspension.

I did a test drive a month ago with a Hyundai Genesis sedan 2014 (3.8l) and i don't recall that it was bouncy. Although, the road was not bumpy. Can I purchase the 2014 suspension/coilovers and put it on the 2009?

Which MOD did you do within the first year that relates to this topic?

There were substantial changes to the BH sedan suspension. It was generally deemed to be pretty rock-hard prior to 2012. There were some subtle changes before 2012, but the most noticeable changes came with the 2012 MY refresh. This search might provide more useful documentation. My 2010 was embarassing on a rough road. My 2012 smoothed things out considerably.
