  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My wife's 2012 Optima's 2.0L engine seized at around 85,000 miles. The result was KMA replacing the engine and turbo under their engine recall. It sucked, but glad to have a new engine and turbo for the long haul. Same experience happened to a friend our mine who had a 2011 2.4L N/A engine, although they had 150,000 miles before the engine was toast, but KMA replaced it at no cost.

Sounds like your car may fit the bill. Maybe you're due some money for "loss of vehicle value", one of the coverages of the settlement, or any out-of-pocket expenses associated with your car repair.
