  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hot on the wheels heels of Toyota slashing its recently amended profit forecast by another 90%, Hyundai and Kia have cut their sales forecasts by 12.5% and told managers there'll be no extra fat in their paychecks this year. The combined company predicted sales of 4.8 million vehicles, that's now been reduced to 4.2 million. And it's not only Hyundai's cars that are affected -- they have limited the production schedule at a plant that manufactures busses. In what sounds like the onset of martial law, the company has established an "emergency management structure to overcome the crisis."

Hi,

The slowdown is hitting everyone in the global economy.

Seeing Hyundai made such large sales projections for their Genesis sedan/coupe, I suspect we should start seeing incentives in the next couple of months.

I know the Genesis is a lot of car for the money- but I'm biding my time to see just how bad things get. I'm very blessed to have strong job security (so far) but I see no sense in buying a new luxury car on the eve of a possible depression. (This coming from an optimist!)

Peace.

As a result of our faltering economy, the incentives are pouring in from all the luxury car manufacturers.

Audi: 0.9% financing, lease deals
BMW: 0.9% financing, lease deals
Cadillac: Red Tag pricing, lease deals
Lexus: aggressive deals (none posted on website)
MB: 3.9% financing (more to come), lease deals
Infiniti: 0% financing, lease deals
Volvo: $750 gift card, 3yr complimentary maintenance, lease deals

New model or not, Hyundai has no choice but to join the fray with the Genesis.

Fortune favors the patient.:)
Peace.
