  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I can’t believe I switched to Acura.

The 2G/3G issue is an industry wide problem. Some manufactures handled it better than others. GM probably among the best because they have been using 4G since 2015 model years. Which has you really wonder how brands like Toyota/Lexus and Hyundai, particularly Genesis failed to plan for this. But many foreign brands really blew it in this area. Honda has a fix that is free if you act by the end of February otherwise you can still get the hardware update for cost of almost $900.
For example take a look at Nissan. A ton of vehicles that are going to be cut off.

Yes agreed. And I suppose if there is a car you really like out there one may have to overlook the issue. The 2nd generation Genesis has a lot to offer. But such a tricky market.

I purchased my Genesis about a month ago and I felt I paid a reasonable amount considering the market. I often check back and the same year/trim, with 20k more miles, is the same price I paid for mine. I feel for anybody who actually needs a vehicle in this market. It’s nuts.

If you have something to trade and are patient then its not terrible. But yes if you are buying without a trade not a good time at all.
