  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings! I have a problem with my 2016 GENESIS 3.8 4WD sedan. When I turn on the lights, the rear fog lights stay on and I can only turn them off when I turn off all the lights. I just don't know how to drive at night without the fog lights on, because the cars behind me are dazzling. Can you advise me where the problem is?

I've never heard of this feature

I suspect the OP is not in North America. Maybe the Genesis Sedan had a rear fog light option in some other markets?

It's a malfunction. Until recently, the lights worked flawlessly. Now I can only turn them off when I turn off all the lights.

Greetings! I found the malfunction of the rear lights not working properly. Water got into them and into the connectors and into the emergency lock. Contact spray helped. Clean thoroughly and seal with silicone. Watch out for the emergency lock in the driver's door! It is hidden under the handle cover. Its mechanism has been neglected in the service for years and is in terrible condition. It is necessary to regularly lubricate it even when it is not in use.

Greetings to all happy HYUNDAI GENESIS SEDAN owners! Fixed the bug of always-on rear fog lights! Salt water was entering the door through the lock of the rear tailgate. They oxidized the electrical connectors of the lights, and the signal to them was insufficiently transmitted. After cleaning the contacts and lubricating them with a preparation for el. the contacts now the lights are working properly!
