  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I didn't know my GV70 can do that!

Just starting a thread to discuss things that you found out which surprised you about the GV70.

This is my first luxury car and I've never driven one before. My old one was a very old VW Jetta.. I came to know that pressing the lift gate door button on the driver side will open and 'close' it. (I didn't know it could close too). I know its silly and stupid of me.. but that is something that I discovered few days back!

If you want a thrill go stand behind the lift gate with the fob in your pocket. The car needs to be locked.

I thought this feature was a "meh" but I use it all the time.

We moved from a lux to a lux (GV70) and I'm fascinated. It has more than we need...more than I expected or wanted and love every aspect of it. Had ours for 3 weeks and learning day by day. As I drove it home I was in strange land...but started to get familiar thanks to members here and simply exploring. My wife has a Macan S I think the GV offers more and better looking. Good luck with yours and enjoy it. My father in law would tell me...wear it out and buy another one. Hopefully the reliability and service are good as the GV looks and offers.
EDIT: My "must haves" were safety mitigation, the cameras and SOS. The SOS was a must have or deal breaker.

I have had my GV70 for about a month now and am still finding new features. Just found this yesterday and have no idea what they are for. 2 silver pegs on the B Pillar just behind the front seats. There must be a reason for them, but it beats me what they are. The way they are positioned it would be difficult to hang anything from them. Anyone know what they are for?

I use it for hanging the car air refresher trees on it. May not be what it’s intended for, but that’s my best usage of it.

Clothes hanger. Jacket or sweater works on them.

Yes, it is supposed to be used to hang a coat/jacket or sweater on. Not on a hanger. It is a holdover from Korea where businessmen would remove their jacket when getting in the back seat. Many are driven around.

Great thread idea! I have a few and will start with the drivers side seat hugs you when you hit 80+mph. That said, I have no idea what to use the small net cubby in the back right of the trunk for… I cut a roll of paper towels in half to store there for spills / napkins / ect.

It is a good place to store your box with the manuals. If it is the same size as the GV80s.

It's a great place to store disinfectant wipes to use when pumping gas...

While I like the seats that tighten at 80, I find the fact that it deflates at 69 to be annoying. The gap should be wider (like down to 55 or less).
In heavy traffic Long Island, I find myself speeding up and slowing down quite often and the seats inflate and deflate constantly.

As an example, Porsche (at least mine), the rear spoiler raises at 80 and goes down at 50 (I think?). This cuts down on wear and tear also.
It makes much more sense for a wider gap.
But whatever. I know the stopgap would be to drive slower or drive in Sport mode all the time.

Good to know. I pass out at 80

I like the fact you can control how high the rear lift gate opens. When I first got home I was irritated it actually hit my garage door when going up. Shortly after discovered there are 3 settings and the middle one is perfect.

I've seen on older vehicles you could buy a bar that goes across that loops on those little hooks. Used for hanging clothes.

Back when I was a kid and people lived in caves. there were salesmen that had them in the car and they sold clothing door to door. Mostly women's dresses. Back when few women drove it was not easy for them to get to stores.

In addition to the 3 level pre-settings, you can actually customize the height of the opening. For my garage door height I found none of the 3 levels were ideal and ended up manually customizing. Nice feature. Acura also has that capability.

I stuff a couple of shopping bags there - roll them up small and they fit well...since you have to take your own bags everywhere nowadays.
