I have an HID kit question 4 you guyz!!!

I have a 9006 HID kit I bought for my brother for Xmas but he didn't want. Can i buy any brand replacement bulbs (H8 in my case) and will connect to another brands ballasts or do i need to search for the same brand bulbs from the kit i bought for this to work. The reason why I ask is because i found replacement H* 3000k bulbs on ebay for 9.99 shipped. What say you guys.

Doing 3000k. Yellow light is most effective into cutting into heavy fog/rain.

I hoe you are well. Yes, just find the correct bulbs for your car. The ballasts are basically universal.
My advice, I would not put a HID kit in the fogs. Just find some nice CREE bulbs that are 3000k. My opinion.
