  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pulled the trigger on a new/old Genesis yesterday. It actually was made in August 2013, and sat on the dealer's floor for 10 months. It's a black on black 3.8 Genesis with Premium and Tech packages. I negotiated $13,000 off MSRP and made the dealer happy also (clearing out old stock) I also signed up for the Fidelity Platinum extended coverage, that covers everything (electronic goodies and stuff that usually runs out at 60,000 miles), for 100,000 miles.
They originally wanted $2500 for the Platinum coverage, but got them down to $2200 before they wouldn't budge. I figured that since I already got $13,000 off on the car, I could afford to pay $400 more than what it might be possible to pay. I also picked up a front set of Weathertech winter mats for $120 (again $10-$15 more than what I might have gotten, if I put the screws to them)
After a day, I am impressed.

PS The dealer wanted $60 for the rear wing badge. After I laughed, they then said $38. I told them that I'd order it from Amazon for under $20.. Don't think that I'll do the front badge.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Congratulations on your Genny purchase. I bought a 13 RSPEC, titanium gray, in mid-June. I am enjoying the car immensely, and it will be a keeper for a long while. 5.0L V-8 RWD, just like the 60s, cannot go wrong.

I am sure you will enjoy your V-6 with the tech pkg. Isn't the 17 speaker Lexicon wonderful?

:welcome: to the club!

You can still cancel that extended warranty and get the very same package for $1450!
Just give them a call, they are located in Atlanta,GA

I was quoted that price for my R-spec, last week. I don't think they'll charge you more.

The 10yr/100k Platinum warranty would be $1449 with a $100 deductible and $1749 with $0.00 deductible. If you would like to move forward with the protection please send me a copy of your driver’s license and I will overnight the paperwork to you with a return FedEx. After reviewing and signing the warranty you can include a check in the return FedEx and you will be all set. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

The Lexicon stereo is fantastic. It's taking a little while to learn how to set everything up though. I've got the garage door opener working, and saving radio stations presets in HD, and got my phone hooked up. I discovered the my blue tooth phone is so old, I can't download my phonebook. That's the next project, learning how to do it manually.

Like I said, I overpaid $400 for the extended coverage, but compared to saving $13,000, $400 is nothing.

Welcome, Bill! You're in for a luxurious driving experience. Do yourself a favor, though. Cash in that third-party warranty that you just bought and buy the Hyundai brand warranty mentioned above. Then take the savings and buy a new phone. One caveat. If your home is in Florida you can't buy the extended warranty out of state.

Just ordered the rear wings and a Genesis license plate frame.
