I need help using CarPlay with an iPhone 16

Since getting my iPhone 16 pro max I’m having trouble using CarPlay. I purchased an USB-C to USB-S cable to be able to connect the phone to the G70 and use CarPlay, but randomly I get no voice on maps, and/or music from Spotify has no sound until i press Media button in the dashboard, and the left side sound controls on the steering wheel only work for sound up or down, but no mute or next song.
How do I fix this?
