If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi..

I just replaced my I Phone 5S and now when I receive a call or try and dial, the party I call can't hear me or when I make a call, I can't hear it ringing..

Everything worked fine with the other 5S.

I deleted the paired phone on the car and the "Genesis" in the Bluetooth section of the phone and I still get the problem.

The phone pairs with no problem & I can stream the music no sweat but when it comes to making or receiving a call I get no sound..

If someone calls me, the call shows up on the screen like it always did but when I answer it, they can't hear me..

I've reset the phone and deleted & repaired several times & still same problem..

Anyone have any input as to what's wrong?

Thanks

Steve

Edit:

I'm sorry...I think I posted this in the wrong section?

I have a 2014 Genesis Sedan 3.8

You posted in the correct forum.

You own a 1G Genesis, not a 2G, which begins with 2015. Be sure to change your User Profile.

Did you update the new 5S to the latest version of iOS? That would be 8.4. If so, maybe you should swap it for another 5S.

Hi..

Thanks for the reply..

I was on the phone with Apple and it was determined to be the phone..

I also tried another I Phone and the car worked fine..

Another trip back to the Apple store tomorrow for another phone..:(

Thanks again..

Steve

On another note..

I didn't update the phone to IOS 8.4 because Apple Music is a mess..

Apple did tell me in the beginning being the software was out of date could be the reason for the Phone having problems with the Genesis.

Apple is trying to get everyone to update to their Music service which IMO is junk..

Thanks for the input..

Steve
