  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I test drove a GV80 3.5 Prestige today and the Driver Assist features did not work. Has anyone had an issue?

I wondered if I was doing something wrong. When the salesman drove, he couldn't get the Lane Keeping Assist to work either.

Back at the dealership the Sales Manager said a fuse needed to be replaced from when the car was jumped off using the small battery instead of the big battery after sitting in the showroom. The salesman who drove with me, however, had already told me that particular car had done the same thing a few months earlier, but he was able to get it working again by turning the car off and back on. That didn't work during our outing.

I've read nothing about this as an issue for the GV80 and wanted to know if any of you have had any similar problems?

I have driven a Hyundai Santa Fe forever with never a problem. I was so excited about this test drive, and you can imagine my disappointment.

Zero issues of any kind after 2.5K on the odometer.

Was the feature 100% not available? It works 100% on the highway but on B and C type roads it's doggy if it can't read the road lines clearly.

There are different levels of driver assist available depending on the type of highway as sensed by the GPS location. In Ontario, for example "Four series highways" (similar to interstates) allow the most autonomous control and features such as lane changes using the turn signal. Where there is less controlled access, those systems are disabled. That's part of the safety design.

Mostly everything works on all roads (when possible) except for lane change assist. The only thing I find different when HDA is enabled on the highway is the ability to change lanes and maybe it's more adventurous about how many degrees it allows the steering wheel to move on its own. LKA and auto-steer will work above a certain speed on every road when it can read the lines.

We were in stop and go traffic near the dealership, and then on a highway. The Lane Keeping Assist never engaged, and the distance keeper from the car in front would turn on, then within a few moments disengage. Features would come on and then disappear, or not come on at all. There were no problems when I drove the other GV80 on the lot.

To get cruise control to engage (which engages all of the driving assist features) you must get to the speed you want it set at, set the mode button and take your foot off the gas. If your foot is resting on the gas pedal it will assume you want to override driving and won't engage which will keep the rest of the Highway driving assists from engaging. At least this is what we've found to be the cause of them not working properly.

Zero issues. Amazing tech.

No issues here. Get fantastic MPG when I use it, too.

Use it daily for my commute. No issues.
