  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My HG2015 is legit the first car I've ever purchased that I truly wanted and didn't buy because I needed a pair of wheels. This car still gets head turns to this day, despite the dumb scratches I made because I hit the side mirror on the garage. It still works by the way and will still retract without issue.

One of the reasons I love my wife is she demanded I get this car because I had sacrificed before and was going to buy the older 2012 version because it was so much cheaper.

Well here's my dilemma my guy at the dealership who I've been going to for nearly all of the past 6 years of ownership says the engine doesn't have much left. He says fixing it will take thousands to just see what's going on. This came up when I wanted to get the backup camera fixed and he says he would not sure do that because I need to get my money right for a new ride.

Fast forward 6 months and the car is riding fine it now has 152k miles on it but I don't want a car payment plus they don't make the new Genesis in my color any more.

I'm not a mechanic but there is some stutter every 3 to 4 months then it goes away. Can't tell anything else. Happy to answer questions for advice

Get a second opinion. Not much we can do from here.

By the way, my 2012 Genesis is still going strong.
