  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

icon appears on dash wth beep that I am too close to vehicle in front when brake is applied. I am the first car!!!! It goes off after a few seconds but returns again in a few seconds. This is intermitent and of course when the dealer looked all was fine!! Has anyone had this issue and how was it fixed? It only indicates in the front. Back works fine. Also does work properly when getting to close to another vehicle, etc. Thanks

This often happens if the little sensor buttons imbedded in the front and rear bumpers are dirty. It doesn't always take very much to cause this although sometimes it is surprising how dirty they can get without causing a problem.

This is often a real problem in northern areas that get a lot of snow and ice.

You might have a real problem but hopefully all it is on your car is a bit of dirt.

I hand wash my car weekly. The problem is intermitent but annoying. The loud beep is distracting.

I had this same problem with my rear sensors a while ago.
Just when I was fed up and was about to bring it to the dealer, it went away by itself.

I am having the same issue... Have it recorded on my iphone but cant figure out how to get the video off my phone. it is annoying. I will take it into the dealer to get it checked out. For now... I just turn the sensors off.
