Hello everyone, I recently became an owner of a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8L RWD and am looking for a compatible SP-IV-RR transmission fluid.
Does anyone know if Idemitsu HK4 is compatible for SP-IV-RR applications? Their website states it’s for “SP-IV applications”.
When I enter my VIN # on some of the major online parts websites, Idemitsu HK4 is listed as an applicable transmission fluid for my specific model that requires SP-IV-RR. I’ve been unable to get a definitive answer. From what I understand, SP-IV and SP-IV-RR are NOT compatible.
I’m just hitting the 60,000 mile mark and I really want to take care of this car properly, especially with the potential transmission hiccups with the older Hyundai 8-speed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
