battery draining when car in garage, is a parasidic draw my problem?
my car has gone through 3 batteries in as many years. I took a reading on amps while sitting in garage and it was 2.85. does anyone out there know what is normal for my 2009 sedan. I also own a 08 santa fe and likewise took an amp reading of 1.35 while in the garage. Maybe my easiest solution...genesisowners.com
Actually just a matter of "guessing" by trying to narrow down the draw on the battery when the ignition is off. The brand new battery I put in was dead over the weekend for the second time in a month. When the ignition is off I tested the fuses and there were about 7 of them still drawing power as well as a 40 amp mystery fuse that is labeled "spare". I made sure that nothing was "on" inside the car at the time. (radio, a/c etc.) This all leads me to think it's the ignition relay not switching some accessories off when it should. How do you know it's the ignition module?
