  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got this email from Hyundai. Not sure who wants or uses these apps but if you plan to download them you have until 4/1.

Dear Jameison,
Please note that on 04/01/2016, the following Hyundai In-Vehicle Apps, Car Care, Aha! Radio, Location Sharing, and Yelp will be discontinued and no longer be available for download.
If you have been planning to download these popular apps, you still have approximately 30 days from the delivery of this communication to download the applicable apps to your Hyundai.
If you have downloaded the Hyundai In-Vehicle Apps, they will continue to remain functional in your vehicle. Vehicle Safeguard Alerts will continue to be available through the in-vehicle app store for a limited time. If you haven’t already done so, download Vehicle Safeguard Alerts now to add new functionality to your Blue Link account.

I saw this as well. It immediately made me wonder if those apps are about to be made obsolete... (CarPlay and Android Auto perhaps?)

I brought this up numerous times over the last year or so. Hyundai is not in the software biz and car makers are notoriously bad at building sustainable platforms like this. I believe the hope was to hoist this on the platforms which deliver most of todays apps - cell phones. This unsurpring move essentially confirms it.

Yet, Elantra and Sonata have Android Auto and other car manufacturers are moving in that direction as well.

Got this email as well. Weird though because when I go to download apps, I don't see any of them to download. Where are you all going to download yelp, etc? I know I have the Aha app since that was already in when I push the media button.

I got to it from my main screen. I have the sig package so it might be different.
