Incentives/rebates and car buying tips?

Hey everyone, don't know if this has been discussed before...if so, I didn't find anything. But how are the coupes selling? Are there currently any deals out there?

I've never negotiated at the dealer's before. Any tips help. How much did everyone get taken off their sticker price?? Thanks!!

Make it seem like there are other vehicles out there that your interested in, tell them look i'm looking at these and list off some other cars, maybe similar range as performance, make it look like you don't mind spending extra to get an sti or something, and have don't seem like you have your heart set on the genesis even if you do. when they ask you what you make, or your price range because they always do. tell them he will find that out after he comes out with a better price on the car. hell if you wanna try, this once worked once, phone them ahead of time and tell em your coming out of town to look but before i come in i want a price, get em to give you a deal before you come in, tell em the sticker price isn't worth me driving to see, come up with something different? if they say no just go they wont know who you were. Reason i say that we called and said gonna buy a sun fire at the time the sticker price was 11k, we said not even worth us driving to see it, they said 8500 if you come see , went out there drove it, then said we will pay 8500 but you wont be charging us any of those hidden dealer fee's, they said no, and we said okie, well then i guess ill go else where, they said wait, and he went back he said 9000, all taxes in and we said bye and they said fine 8500

well in the states its a lot different then here in Canada, what I'm finding out more and more is that in order to get out of our economic situation we have to spend money. The problem lies on the banks giving us that money. you already have the advantage of the situation, now is a good time to buy, people can be picky and can get a vehicle lower then the MRSP quite easy, were about do you live?

The only rebates available on a Genesis are $500 active military and $400 for recent college graduate. Historically, dealers haven't been giving much of any discount on the Coupe but they're here to sell cars. Annapolis Hyundai has been taking about $600-800 off any coupe besides a Track Package. If you're looking to buy anything besides a Genesis Coupe, visit a couple dealerships, see how they treat you then ask for what they will sell you the car for with all the rebates and compare. All the dealerships own the cars for the same so go with the dealership that gave you a combination of; the best price and best treatment. You could also send out an email (with all the specifics) to all the dealerships in your area and see which ones comes back with the best price.

Okay, so I'm going to wait a while. Hopefully the new nav unit will be included in the GT package!
