A real quick question....is there a screen saver mode for the display when on...so no image burn occurrs, like on computer monitors.?

The LCD should not suffer burn in, but to be safe you can always turn the display off. Hitting any other button then turns it back on instantly. If memory serves, depress the joystick while viewing the map, and select from the right column.
