Good Evening All --
I'm trying to fix two persistent rattles that the dealer can't replicate.
I have the dreaded sunvisor/trim rattle on the passenger side along with one coming from the infotainment screen. I've tried two Genesis dealers about the infotainment screen but I get can't replicate responses even when I have a video of it making a plastic rattle sound. The rattle stops when I put even one finger on the infotainment screen which makes me think that it's either 1) a loose screw in the brackets holding the screen in OR 2) a loose clip or part of the plastic housing rattling. I've tried to get them to simply take the dash piece off and check the screws, but they won't do it. I'm almost to the point of saying I'll pay you a one hour work fee just to do what I'm asking you to do so I can check it off the list of possible causes.
My alternative is to check it DIY style. Does anyone have a good video or instructions for 2019 G70 dash removal. I just need to remove the leather covered part to access the base of the infotainment screen area. It looks to be all one piece once you remove the end cap. Any videos/guides/instructions would be great on how to access this.
