New for 2019 is an upgraded, 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability.

Consumer Reports says the 2019 G80 (lower trims?) saw the 8" screen get an upgrade. There's no mention about the 9.2" screen getting an upgrade.

Is any of this true? I'm looking to get an '18 G80 but the older-looking matte screen is a bit of a turnoff, especially compared to my wife's new '19 Subaru Legacy. Her car has a very bright and crisp 8" screen and the glossy finish hasn't been bad at all in the daytime.

Is the Subaru's screen a "touch screen"? My understanding of why my 2018 G80's screen is matte is that it doesn't show fingerprints.

Yes, touchscreen. So are the glossy infotainments in the G70, 2020 Sonata, Hyundai Palisade, etc.

My point in wondering is that if the '19 G80 did get a screen update (8", 9.2", or both), it'd be a nice modernized touch. I'm also not sure if the upgraded screens are also higher resolution.
