Inner tie rod help!!

Hey my car was hit and the only damage was my inner tie road breaking and I can’t find any place that sells the tie rod without buying the entire steering rack! I’ve read I could use an inner tie rod from a 2016-2017 model is that true ?

What did you do? I have the same problem and don't want to spend $9000 to install a whole new rack and pinion assembly.
