Inside door handle light

I had never noticed this until a passenger pointed it out last night. The back door inside handles have a led light. I think it's cool to have that light, but it is on all the time? Like if anyone would need to get a hold of the handle while the car is moving...
Thought I'd ask...does it stay on all the time for everyone?

Yes it remains on all the time. I do believe there is a setting to turn it off though.

I believe it is on all the time so long as the lights are on. I believe there are also lights inside the front door handles but they are washed out by the lights from the IP. In the few times I've sat in the back at night, it is cool to see the door handle light.
