I am going to write a lot so if I misspell or whatever than it is what it is.
So let me first say, I am not a big fan of underglo however I do not hate it but I think it is not something I want on much.
I have the VelossaTech LitKit with the Diode Dynamic LEDs so I decided to get their Undeglow kit since it can plug right into the wires that are already there.
The Velossa Kit has a 4 to 1 splitter and since it uses only 2 with the 2 intakes you have 2 free inputs. You can plug the 4 to 1 (non-Bluetooth) into one of the remaning plugs because I had asked. The drawback is that if you do this instead of opting for the $80 additional Bluetooth controller the underglow has to be on whenever the LitKit is on and the same color.
That is a no go for me and so I purchased an additional Bluetooth controller. Unfortunately both have to powered and you can no longer use one of the 2 remaining plugs however I am not 100% on that but my decision on how I doing this is a little different.
Since I have the ADRO v3 CF body kit except I went with the the V2 Lip cuz it is the best of the 3 made I had an idea.
I decided to have my LitKit coupled with an Intercooler light and a light to be installed in the rear Difusser on one BlueTooth Controller.
Then I put the Underglow Kit on its own Bluetooth controller.
Now I can turn the underglow kit on and off by itself and it can also be it's own color too.
BLUETOOTH #1 - LitKit, Intercooler, Rear Difusser.
BLUETOOTH #2 - Underglow Kit.
So tonight I only did the Intercooler and front Underglow piece because to do the intercooler I had to remove the bumper and the front Underglow I would have to remove it again later so I just did them both at the same time. I also plugged them both into the LitKits Bluetooth to at least be able to use them and check if the Underglow works until this weekend when I can install the rest and I would just need to move the plug as all the wiring is done.
So one think I did was order LED Strip clamps you see on the underglow part. They are clear and screw into the CF lip. I then drilled the CF and the soft foam and plastic to run the wire up into the bumper and up the same path as the LitKit wiring.
I am a little disappointed that the front and rear Underglow strips are only 50CM. I am going to ask Diode Dynamics if it is possible to have them make me a custom strip that the wire is in the center and the strip is as wide as the front of the car. It is just not wide enough and I am not sure if it would look better if it was much wider like near the tires. Just seems so short as you see in the photos.
They can just put the power wire in the center and I can pull the wire out by giving it slack from the top likely change it and pull it back up. I am tired of taking the bumper off LOL I have taken it off 4 times now and well it gets old.
I am lucky that I can drill into the CF with those little clear clampos and they are very secure and I can do this down the whole sides and rear. I am excited to get the lighting up inside the diffuser too. I think it will look amazing.
Great thing about these lights is you can dim them so the underglow is not over powering and since they can be their own color when I wire it later, I can mix or have them fade back and forth like say red on top and blue on the bottom and fade at the same speed to be opposite although I am not gonna do those 2 it is just an example.
I can go red and green for Xmas LOL
Many options with 2 bluetooth controllers.
My brother said my car looks like ET LOLOLOLO now I can't unsee it.
