  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I really enjoy my new(to me) 2011 Genesis but I'm not all that impressed by the "uninspired" instrument display. I haven't yet purchased a maintenance manual and wonder how to access the panel so as to replace the back-lighting bulbs. Many after market sites offer chrome bezels to dress up the speedometer/tach area; are these available for the Genesis? TIA to all.

Sorry about the re-post; nothing showed on the main site(still doesn't).

I believe the instrument cluster uses electro-fluorescent gauges, so not sure they can be replaced with stock bulbs. I don't recall seeing any chrome bezels to dress up the speedometer/tach area, but maybe others have.

While not high tech or flashy, I find the instrument cluster functional, clean, and easy to read. It feels high end (electroluminescent) without screaming high end.

The 2012-2014 Tech/R-spec has the color LCD cluster which I personally think is more cohesive, while 2009-2011 has the older type monochrome LCD center cluster .

Note sure if they can be swapped around between models?

Another thing to look at is to dress the cluster with a variant of this simple mod, using any old smart phone/tablet you may have around.
