...will admit I'm not gaining a lot of comfort reading all of the threads and comments regarding poor QC with the turbos, long lead times to get dealer appointments, only to have poor service.
I'm in search of a new daily driver. I have a summer/weekend V8 modded to 600rwhp, so I'm not looking to replicate that, but I'm not willing to drive a boring little box car, no matter how "zippy".
I'm looking at:
Lexus RC 350 F Sport.
Acura TLX S Type
Genesis 3.3 RWD G70
I prefer a coupe, and the Lexus is really the only one being made anymore, and I love the lines of the Lexus the best, but am a bit put off by the lack of power in that engine, and the lack of inexpensive mods as compared to the Genesis and Acura.
The 2024 Acura has impressed me by no longer looking like an overpriced Honda. However, its sticker is substantially higher than the Genesis.
My BIL has a 2018 Kia Stinger and absolutely loves it. He's been talking about the Genesis as what he would want to upgrade to, and that is what got me interested.
However, here in the DMV there isn't a stand alone Genesis dealer, and the stories I've been reading about the Hyundai dealerships isn't encouraging. I'd have to drive to Richmond for the closest standalone Genesis dealer.
Also, seems all the Genesis dealers in this area are only stocking AWD vehicles. I have no intention of driving this in the snow
