  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've had the car for a week now and yesterday with the keyfob in my pocket, I went to press the button and lock the doors (from outside the car). It made a long beep and wouldn't lock. We finally realized that my wife's purse was inside the car and her keyfob was in the purse. Once we put the purse in the truck, I was able to lock the car.
It appears the car won't lock if there is a keyfob anywhere within the passenger compartment.
Nice feature:)

Related: a similar thing happens if you attempt to walk away from the car with the motor running and the keyfob in your pocket. When you get a couple of feet away the alarm starts to beep and doesn't shut up unless you get back in the car, or toss the keyfob onto the seat, or turn the car off.

The noise will stop after about 10 seconds.
