  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, I have a 2014 Genesis, and its USB and auxiliary ports in the center console are not receiving enough current. My phone will recognize there’s power for a brief moment when plugged in before it immediately quits charging. Both interior ceiling lights also have a similar issue, but only on the driver’s side. The lights are nice and bright on the passengers side, but the driver’s side is very dim and barely visible. Additionally, the TPMS has been acting up since this issue started, and I think it may be linked. I didn’t exactly want to start ripping off panels to examine the wires without a good direction to start in though.

After researching and asking around, I suspect it may be an issue with the wires grounding to the frame or maybe having a faulty connection.

Has anyone else seen this issue or have any resources to point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I have the TPMS issue due to a local shop thinking either one was bad or the other three were bad. Replaced all four but couldn’t get the TPMS module to flash to recognize the replacements so I purchased four OEM sensors and will be taking it to the dealer for other services soon.

No issues with any interior lights but I do have problems intermittently with the charging ports. This might a BH model issue? I would be interested in any other inputs on this thread.

Sroll to the post entited "09 rear dome light help" on page 2 regarding your dim dome lights; its very likely the resistor solder joints are the problem. Anytime one or more of mine would not work (they were intermittent), they were very dim just like yours.
