  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When getting in to my 2015 Tech. Genny, the interior lights do not work. However, each of the 4 map lights plus the 2 lights under the sun visors work when their button is pushed. My dealer says it's a bad bulb and they ordered one. So when that comes in, I have to drive almost an hour to this dealership. I have my doubts. If it's a bulb, why do each of the lights work when activating individually? I'm not an electrician, but I wonder if this dealership knows how to deal with this, or are they just looking for an easy way out, and then have the car come in again when that doesn't work. Thoughts??

LED bulbs gone bad already? Hmmmm... I'm assuming you checked all fuses already.

Call the dealer and make sure they know that the lights work when the buttons are pressed individually.

Is there a setting that controls whether the lights come on when you open the door? Check out the owners manual.

Thanks for the info.......so last night I tapped the driver's sun visor area, and the lights came on!! Definitely a bad connection. I guess the dealer is looking for the easy way out. Tell them the lights don't work, and they order a bulb without really checking things out. I'll have few words for them on Tuesday!

There are no longer any mechanics, only parts changers. They couldn't diagnose a water blister. Get used to it, unfortunately, and you have to be diligent and know you car better than they do. I had the same problem, after 7 trips one service writer FINALLY found the problem.

Best of luck.
