Yeah, it's sad that there is no mood lighting in the Elite/Prestige trim of the 3.3T. The white overhead lights that go on when you open the doors are rather boring. I'd like to be able to change the color of the lighting and have had two thoughts: One would be to "fit" some kind of colored plastic film over the lens covers. The other thought would be to change the bulbs themselves. Those are my thoughts, but I'm not sure how to execute and would appreciate some DIY input.
BTW, before I started this thread, I was trying to figure out why no interior lights went on when the door was opened...they certainly should have if the dealership prepped the car properly. Anyway, for those who may have had a similar problem, the answer is found on page 3-102 of the owner's manual: simply press button #3 on the overhead. The bland overhead lights, front and read, will go on when the door is opened and out within 30 sec when door is closed or when ignition is fired.
