  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm Alan_G, just test drove a GV70 and a GV80 with my wife. Were waffling about a new Genesis to replace her 7-year-old Enclave, or possibly going a totally different route and replacing my 10-year-old Honda Accord with a new Accord. She's driving a giant car now, and whichever new car we get will be our cross-country vacation car, so we want all the driver aids.

Also, we both play golf, so room for clubs plus luggage is a must!

Finally, the wife is rather short and currently experiencing some mobility issues, and the Enclave came with Running Boards. Our dealer tells us that they are available as a dealer-installed option on the GV80, he wasn't positive about the GV70 but though they would be. Does anyone know?

Really loved the test drive of both vehicles!

A GV70 is not going to meet your golf clubs and luggage needs, IMO. Did you open the hatch?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. It sounds like the Genesis GV80 will be a more sensible switch from the Enclave. It'll be similar in size and can fit that golf gear. AND you can have the running boards installed...
