  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has any one paired an Apple iPhone 12 to a 2012 Genesis? Is the car to old for the new phone?

My iPhone 10s Max pairs to my 2012 5.0 R-Spec, but only for contact list/phone calls. I had to buy an adapter for music, but it works really well and is very small. It’s connected to the AUX port in my center console and powered by a USB adapter next to it. Look for Tunai Firefly on Amazon.

Thanks for the info.

Lucky you lol. My 2010 won't import my phone book. I have to manually add each contact into the head unit :(

What good is the phone book if the phone does not work?

The phone works fine. It's just the phone contact list won't transfer to the cars headunit. So when someone calls who I haven't put into the headunit phonebook, it just displays the number (in the Korean numerical values which is annoying). But the contacts I have put into the headunit, when they call, it displays their name.

the only prob is that it takes a bit to automatically pair once you added the 12, I have a 12 and there is definitely room for technological improvements.

How did you pair your iPhone?
